The Haryana government will celebrate Baisakhi on April 13th 2026 with great enthusiasm and joy.

Colorful cultural programs and various activities will be organized in various districts of the state to mark this occasion, ensuring active participation from all sections of society.
Dr. Amit Agarwal, Commissioner and Secretary of the Information, Public Relations and Languages ​​Department and the Department of Arts and Cultural Affairs, reviewed the preparations for the Baisakhi festival with the Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts via video conferencing from Chandigarh and issued necessary guidelines. He informed that it has been decided to celebrate Baisakhi in Panchkula, Ambala, Karnal, Panipat, Yamunanagar, Faridabad, Jind, Kaithal, Fatehabad, and Sirsa. The main state-level event will be held in Kurukshetra, with Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Nayab Singh Saini as the chief guest. In addition, district-level events will be organized in other districts, with chief guests and other dignitaries attending. Dr. Amit Agarwal explained that Baisakhi is an important festival in Indian culture, celebrated with great enthusiasm, especially in North India. This festival marks the ripening of the Rabi crop. When the wheat crop blooms golden in the fields, farmers are delighted to see the fruits of their hard work. Baisakhi is celebrated on this joyous occasion. On this day, people wear colorful clothes, perform traditional dances, and sway to the beats of drums.
